Other publications

We are also pleased to offer for sale copies of General O’Brien: West Wicklow to South America. This book documents the life and times of an almost forgotten son of Baltinglass, County Wicklow, General John Thomond O’Brien (1786-1861).  His contribution to the independence movements in many South American countries is immense by any standards. The publication of this book in 2006 coincided with the unveiling in Baltinglass of a special plaque in his honour.
