On Tuesday night last, the society hosted a very interesting and informative lecture by Oliver Whelan on landholding in and around Hacketstown and Clonmore over a period of nearly three centuries. This excellent lecture was enjoyed by all present in the large audience on the night. Our lectures will now cease for the summer months, but we hope to organise some outings for our members during that time. Details will be available later. For now, we would like to thank all our members and patrons for their support – it’s great to be back on the historical circuit following the disruption caused by the pandemic.
