Our annual ‘evening stroll’ took place on Wednesday 27 July. This year the destination was Dunlavin and we had our Chairman, Chris Lawlor, to guide the substantial gathering around the places of interest. Of course, Chris Lawlor is synonymous with Dunlavin history. The weather co-operated and a pleasant evening has enjoyed by all.The ‘strolls’ have been a feature of our summer activities for a long time. They are always held once a year, midweek when the evenings have a long stretch, and always in a West Wicklow location. Sometimes they involve a wander around the place, with questions posed and possibly answered, depending on who might be in the company. In more recent years there is usually a guide who will definitely provide answers. For instance, John Glennon brought us through Hollywood and Aidan Cruise showed us around Manor Kilbride.
